Sometimes we may feel that we shouldn’t really be concerned or worried about a particular issue because it’s trivial or odd or because it’s not something that other people appear to be concerned about.
However, we’re all different, and see the world In different ways. You may hear of someone experiencing anxiety over an issue that wouldn’t cause you any problems at all and conversely, someone may be surprised that you are concerned or anxious over something that they wouldn’t give a second thought to.
It’s very easy say to yourself, ‘well, it’s just something I have to put up with’, but you don’t have to put up with it.
Anxiety is a perfectly normal emotion. It’s just that sometimes it can get in the way of us enjoying our life.
Hypnotherapy will help you see the issue in a new light and equip you with a way of dealing with it effectively and preventing it causing unnecessary anxiety.
Many anxiety issues stem from a pattern of thinking (sometimes known as a schema) that we have learned over a period of time and which can heavily influence our thoughts when we are faced with certain situations.
It may be a forthcoming social occasion, a job interview, a health issue, a driving test or the like; we immediately start thinking along certain lines (usually negatively) and predicting what will/may happen.
But because this is learned behaviour it can be unlearned and that is where hypnotherapy comes in.
We will discuss in detail things such as the history of the problem, situations where it seems to be worse, how you cope with at present, and then we will design a course specifically for you to learn how to deal with the issue in the future.
Hypnotherapy will teach you how to cope effectively with the situation by replacing the old, negative thoughts with a new, positive approach (your hypnotherapy goal).
